Few days around Chania

Balos Beach

Great lagune, you can arrive to this beach by boat or by car.
If you will get there by car take into consideration an off-road trail by car and around 40mins waliking trekking. Shoes are mandatory.

Tip: this beach is better in early morning for better colors and, if getting there by car, to find a park at the end of the off-road trail.

During the day many tourists arrives by boat. Here you can find umbrellas and sunbeds.

Falasarna beach

Sandy beach with ancient Hellenistic harbor ruins nearby & high season cafés & sun loungers.

Triopetra beach

Nice beach, just be aware of wind. If you have a car fuel it as at a certain point there are no more gas stations.

Has both sand and rocks. Free umbrellas and sunbeds for the restaurant customers

Preveli beach

Great beach for the sea and the palm forest. There is a river with non-salted water.

Shoes are mandatory to arrive the beach as tehre is a trekking with several steps.

There are no umbrellas nor sunbeds available for use. There is a bar with some snaks and beverages available.

Elafonissi Beach

Nice beach during the morning, enjoy the island located on the right.

During the day there are many people both on beach and in-water, if you like wild places avoid this location.

Tip
since the arrival there are parking telling you that the official free parking is full and only on their side there are slots. Ignore them and proceed (if police isn't blocking the road)

Kedrodasos Beach

Maybe this is paradise, tourquise water and white sand. If you get there in early morning you also might be alone.

Thee are no umbrellas nor sunbeds available. Also no bar/snack point close to the beach (around 3km by car)

Stavros Beach (Zorbas Beach)

Nice beach famous thanks to "Zorba the Greek" Sirtaki dance movie scene.

Is like a lagune with calm water and sandy beach. There are few bars and restaurants around the place
